Mackay North State High School is a progressive school which offers students a wide range of subjects and extracurricular opportunities. The current enrolment is approximately 1 400 students who are attracted from across the district by the strong reputation of the school.

Students are supported in their welfare and academic progress by a team of support staff and dedicated Year Coordinators. Students enjoy the opportunities to develop their skills in the many extra-curricular activities in performing arts, sport, leadership courses and competitions. Our school facilities include a well equipped Senior Centre, Assembly Hall, modern Science laboratories, and excellent sporting facilities.
